ABOUT ME
I am Amanda - a wife of over 30 years, a mother of three amazing young women, an avid sports fan, and a dog lover.
I have diverse professional experience - from sales and banking to serving as a pastor and an educator. I have a Bachelor's in Psychology and have my Master's degree in Professional Counseling.
IMy practice, named PureHeart, honors my Biblical life verse: Psalms 51:10, "Create in me a pure heart and renew a right spirit within me." It is rooted in my desire to see my clients thrive as they pursue a life of truth, clarity, and joy.
Besides my calling to help others and spending time with my family, it is my relationship with God that gives me the greatest joy. I feel blessed and privileged to assist others in their journey to mental and emotional healing.

EXPERIENCE
My clinical and counseling experience is comprised of private practice, integrated health, and community counseling. In my previous work as a Children’s Ministry Director and as a Director of Instruction at a private Christian school, I gained extensive experience counseling families, adolescents, and children who were facing various issues--major life transitions, undesired behavior, self-esteem concerns, childhood traumas, and parenting questions.
I have found Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focus Therapy, and EMDR to be especially helpful with my clients. While adolescents and women make up most of my clients, I have had the opportunity to work with various clients in all stages of life, including individuals, couples, and families.
